I like my nitto's even though they are quite heavy. A lot depends on what type of tire you want as well.

Yea my brother has some nittos and they are heavy, he has this grand idea he'll go off roading every day even though he never will but its his money his truck so it's his choice. I'm leaving for school in August so my driving will be small commutes around town/school and highway driving. So nothing fancy just tires that will fit the new wheels and around the same size I have now

Well, mine are 285/70/17's and are technically a street tire. My tires were designed for HD trucks though. They sure do wear well. I easily have 10k on them and they still have deep tread. They are great in slushy show and in rain. My only complaint is they love to catch and hold onto rocks.

That sounds pretty good, just curious does Ford make Raptor 18 in wheels or is it just 17?

At $300 I'd scoop them up, cause you could get at least that if you ever wanted to sell them. Also, if you think you would want to put them on before your current tires are worn down, get new tires now cause your current ones are worth the most right now. Keep in mind that your current set will likely last you the entire time you're in college. Raptors have always only had 17" wheels from the 15-20 of them that I've seen.

If you like the "trade in" price on a new set of tires, now I say to go for it! Any brand of tires that you like is gonna be fine though

So I went to the shop yesterday and for trading in my tires, getting 4 new tires and putting the wheels on them its gonna be about ~$350 so $600 for new tires and Raptor rims (Got them for $250) is a pretty good deal to me and not bad for a college student

At the shop the guy told me my 2005 Lariat Screw 5.4 didn't have tire sensors but the Raptor wheels do. Should I take them off and sell them? They only have 15 miles on them.

I'm not exactly sure how those TPMS sensors work/where they are, but I'd take them off. You may actually want to give those back to the guy you bought them from if he doesn't have a new set for the new wheels he bought. Or at least ask him

Most people get new sets when they buy new wheels because they're easy to damage when swapping them.

He is the one that told me to sell them lol and they are just on the other side of the wheel, I'll ask my shop guy to take them off. How much would they be worth?

That is a hell of a deal. I still want a set of black raptor wheels, but lack of money when I find them and no wheels available when I do.
