Got an deal on my CC for no. Interest for 16 months. So my budget went up, looking to spend not more than $190 per tire, guess I'm looking for tires that are a bit more than I was originally looking at.
General Tire AT2 are my current choice.....looking fir decent A/T tires that are snowflake rated....can only get one set.
Thanks and sorry for the annoying questions

I will still stand with what I suggested before, The Firestone and the Cooper. Only look at them in an LT tire rather than a P series. They will stand up better to the harsh road conditions better. Also one I did not recommend before due to cost is the BF Goodrich All Terrain TA. Have been using them for winter driving for many years.
I do not recommend a true winter tire for year round driving. While they are the best for snow, the tread compound on those are soft enough that they will wear quickly on dry road.

I usually go with what I know...I went online and found a set of Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar and couldn't be happier with them. Really tough tires, they ride well and handle well; I expect to get a lot of service out of them.

I've had the Cooper Discoverer AT3 on my 2001 for almost a year now and I love them.
The Michelin's I had before were great; they were a highway tread, very quiet and wore like steel but I wanted to go to an all terrain. The Cooper's have a much more aggressive tread and yet are only slightly louder (it's almost unnoticeable) than my old ones. They do wear quicker than the Michelin's though and I only expect to get about 50k out of them. They have been great in the snow, rain and ice and look pretty good on the truck too.
I found mine online for around $140 a tire, a great deal if you ask me.

after checking out a bunch of different tires online, and looking at stores, and talking with a buddy who has them, I ended up going with the General Grabber AT2 that I had been looking at. Got them through the local farm and fleet....have about 700 miles on them and I'm very pleased....mud, gravel, highway, rain, so far they have handled it all
thanks for all the advice and suggestions, even if I did end up marching to the beat of my own rhythmically impaired drummer
