2010 F150 XLT SuperCrew - 1st Time Owner
Hello everyone,
I am a long time reader, first time poster. I purchased my first F150 in 2010 and have enjoyed it for two years now. Like most, this is around the time when I get the itch to start modifying a few factory standard items...starting with the tires. I'm looking to put some bigger tires on the stock wheels and I was planning to go with the Bridgestone - Dueler A/T REVO 2 (P285/70R17117T). My F150 currently has the standard P265/70R17. I'm going to admit I know nothing about wheels and tires other than what I can google. So I am going to ask a very dumb question. I want to go with a wider tire P285 vs the current P265 for a more fuller rugged look. Does this mean I have to get new (wider) wheels to accomodate for the wider tread? I have not called the dealership/service center to ask...
