2013 after market wheel question

I looking to change the tires and wheel on my 2013 lariat 4x4 offroad. i was looking to put a 17x12 rim with a tire as close as i can get to a 33x12.5. The rim I am looking at is a weld T58. it has a back spacing of 4.8 with -19mm off set. The tires i was wanting are mickey Thompson claws size of 305/65r17. Does anyone know if these will fit stock or will i need a lift/level in order to turn with minor to no scrubing? I really want to keep the truck as low as possible

Stock? Not a chance. You could do those tires on stock wheels and probably have some minor rubbing. But on a 12" wide wheel your gonna need to go up a minimum of like 4" and most likely 6".

yea i was thinking the same thing but i am like you not sure if i need 3" 4" or 6" inch lift. I don't want to use the stock rim because they are 20's and they just aint my style. Im not a fan of stock rim i love the deep dish look.

With a 12 inch wide wheel, I'd go with a 6 inch lift. Also, a 305mm (12.50 inch) wide tire is too narrow for a 12 inch wide wheel. I'd go with at least a 13.50 inch wide tire. Your fitment problems are gonna be caused by the wheel. The one you want will stick out almost 5.5 inches farther than the stock wheels.

when you say a 305 is too narrow for a 12 in wheel, is that because that is what the manufacture recommends or because it will no fit? guys around home have done this before if i remember correctly.

Most 305's are right under 12.5" wide. Some people do it, but it doesn't look right imo, can cause abnormal tread wear, can blow a bead a lot easier, you basically leave the rim no sidewall protection from curbs, some shops won't even mount them, etc. There's plenty of people who do it, you see it alot with the ricer crowd and the cali trucks, but there's also plenty of reasons not to do it.

You usually wanna go at least an inch wider tire than the wheel. So a 13.50" tire would be perfect on a 12" wide wheel.

Exactly. Not only can you easily damage a wheel, you can easily cut a tire sidewall on a curb, rock, root, log, etc.
