Dang! My order was cancelled for my wheels as the manufacturer doesn't make the 5x135 any longer. Glad I heard about it before I ordered my tires. So now, I'm back to the drawing board. I'm hunting around for another set of wheels. I found a comparable style, but it is 15x10 instead of 16x10. Would I still go with a 305/70 but a 15 instead of 16, or since the wheel is an inch smaller, would I go with a tire that is an inch larger? Thanx again.

P.S. Beastly_95, I checked out those spare tire tailgates, but I ran into two problems. The first being that I would no longer be able to park in my garage as it adds more than 6 inches to the length of my vehicle (unless you know of an inboard mounted type) and the second being the cost...at least double what I'd pay to have a local welder make one for me.

15" wheels will not fit your truck; they don't clear the brakes. 16" is the smallest diameter you can use. Unfortunately you're about to discover what many already know...5x135 bolt pattern wheels are going the way of the do-do bird. Unless it's a higher end wheel manufacturer (Fuel comes to mind) that will still custom drill a set for ya, the cookie cutter/main stream brand wheels are out.

I haven't seen any inboard style yet........... I know ION ALLOY makes a lot of wheels with the 5x135 bolt pattern and reasonably priced as well .....I just got my 16x10 ION 174s at the bloomsburg 4x4 jamboree for 110 a piece and I love em..

Okay, here's what I finally decided to go with...

What do you think?

With any luck, I won't receive another "sorry, we're out of stock" on these wheels now. As soon as they arrive, I'll be picking up my tires and be good to go. Thanx to everyone that assisted with advice on tire size.

Well, those were cancelled as well. Dang! Y'all were right...it is extremely difficult to find the 5 on 135mm bolt pattern! However, I finally found some through rimz one online dot com...

I actually spoke to one of the reps there and he assured me they have these in stock and ready to ship in 3-4 days. Needless to say, I've placed the order. No, they're not 16x10, but I suppose 16x8 will have to do. As soon as I receive these, I'll be adding the tires and posting pics.

So, I went down to purchase my tires today, but was told that the size I wanted wouldn't fit. I was looking at 315/75-16. I'm still under 35 inches with that, so I thought that would work out okay. Remember, I'm at stock height without so much as a leveling kit. What would be the worst case scenario with this size? A little trimming? Thanx.

That's a huge tire for a non-leveled 2002 to be rocking. I think you'd have a REALLY hard time fitting those and have horrible rubbing to the point of not being able to drive it without leveling it. Just crank them torsion bars and you'll be in much better shape, it's free.
