They would be an excellent choice. Much, much better tire than OEM.

The Nitto 420s are an excellent choice for tires! I have my wheels wrapped in them with no complaints!

so I did a little more research and some guy was running stock 22 Harley rims with 305 40 22 tires. You guys think I can get away with running that tire size?

also was looking into the hankook ventus st rh06 tires and the cooper zeon ltz. anyone have any reviews on those? I seem to find mixed reviews.

I live in Chicago so I do want something decent in the snow.....

Absolutely! I'm running 305/40/23 with a 2.5/5 drop and good to go!

I don't have any reviews on other tires, so I can't help you there.

Unfortunately, no snow driving. Or maybe that's fortunate. Not much of that in Texas!

Here are some pictures.

I had 305/40/22 Yokohama Parada Spec X's when I had my 22s and they had a good amount of meat on them, if that's what you're concerned with.

I just want to know what a decent tire is for the truck. never had a truck before and know nothing about tires. wanted to see what people on the boards were running and what was recommended and not recommended. thanks for the help.

Oh okay! I think that's one of the, if not the, most common size tire for 22s on a truck and SUV. I think it's a good size

tire life.

Guy at my local shop is telling me not to go with the nittos, that they are cheap and he recommends some good year tires which are obviously more expensive. An other tire shop is trying to sell me some other off brand tire. this is making it very difficult to choose a tire.
