Need help - Your thoughts on tire sizes
My 07 Screw 4x2 is due for tires. Right now I am running a 2" AS with LT285/65/18 Nitto Terras ( 10 ply) load E range on stock rims and the ride has been bone jarring and has sucked for the last 2 yrs. It was a learning lesson on the load E's, so I want to go back to a more stock ride ( P range) with the 2"AS cause I love the stance of it.
I don't do any towing ,just all highway'city and going on road trips. Based on reviews and searching , I want the Michelin LTX MS2's por the Firestone Destination LE2's but the biggest size they go is 275/65/18. Will it look too tall/skinny and not filled out. Just don't want to make another costly mistake. Any other options I might be missing? Thanks fellas

What air pressure were you running on those tires. If you were running any more than 50 (each tire is different. Some LR E can be run as low as 40-42), it is no question it would be bone jarring.
As for P series, yes it would be better ride, but you do lose some things. First handling will suffer. Also if you do any back/gravel road driving, be aware you will be getting flats/blowouts much, much easier. P series do not have the ruggedness of an LT tire. If you can find one, I would get a LR C and run them at about 40 psi.
As for size, you are at about your limit with a 2wd with a leveling kit.

Wow... This is really a pain in the ***! I cant seem to find what I am looking for in 285/65/18 without it being a load range E or D. I was set on Michelin LTX MS2 or Firestone Destination LE2. I just want to keep the same stance but not have a LR "E" 10 ply tire. I'm done with the harsher ride with those tires. Any suggestions? not really wanting to lose the 2"AS
