I am in need of new tires. I have about 75K on my 285 Terra Grapplers. I see they have just released a new Terra Grappler G2 that has a mileage warranty. What is everyone's thoughts? Stay with the original or get the "new" G2 version....

I am running the P Metric size, not the LT

 

On the new version the only thing different is the tread design...sidewalls look the same. I had some Terra's on my '11 Lariat 305x55x20 and were quite pleased with them other then being on the heavy side. I've also been pleased with the tires on my '13 that I have now...Toyo P275x60x20 AT2's. With the Terra's I would go with the new version and maybe hope the new tread design has improved traction. Toyo makes Nitto tires so you can't hardly go wrong with either.

 

 

Grappler G2 Tires

According to the Nitto website, the new Terra Grappler G2 is made of a different compound and have a different sidewall design (among other things). I have called a few tire dealers locally and they are telling me it will be November before they can get their hands on them though
