I just got those 285's myself with chrome 18" in wheels, also with level kit. Look and drive excellent; best tire I've had. Super quiet. I personally HATE tires that stick out in both look and function. I have an XCAL3 with 3 custom tunes; find the best all around driveability with an 87 octane tow tune. Adjusted for shift pressure, axle ratio and tire size. My speedo is spot on.

Enjoy!

Edit: mine are 275/70/18

i have to agree that the KR is not going to get "murdered out". I too like the elegance and think that black anything (wheels, headlights, or tails) would look really odd. I think for now its just going to be getting a tuner and then maybe a chrome exhaust tip or something. As always, all other ideas are welcome!

For about $300, I went with 3" pipe from the "Y" to a SISO 40 Series Flowmaster.

Before tuning did you feel a difference in how your KR drove on the ko2's and are you going to regear?

They look great!

Stupid question...are they LT rated or no? I'm ready for new tires...with the engine not running right and all, I was thinking about going non-LT this time...I don't think I'm going to be doing any towing even if I get this thing fixed....

I had the tuner all along, so no idea and never tested it with the stock tune.

KO2 are LT (load range E). Snowflake rated as well.

To be honest, I noticed a very slight degree in power/pep. But that being said, I have the 3.73 gears and she seems to still pull just fine. I wanted to see what had happened to power so I gave it some gas at a stop sign yesterday and the tires still squeeled at launch. I'll take it!

As a follow up, I have nothing but the most absolutely amazing things to say about these tires too. I haven't had a chance to drive them in snow/ice yet. But they are super quiet, feel very stable and grip great on the roads and u only lost about 1 Mpg. They also look Wayyyyy more aggressive in person. 5 stars. Anyone on the fence...just ist pull the damn trigger!
