275/60/20 Vs. 35x12.5x20

Finally getting rid of the 22x9.5 305/45/22. Ride is terrible and im trying to improve some gas mileage.

Picking up some 20x9 wheels soon with Toyo at2 tires. Trying to decide on size:

I know the 275/60/20 are alot smaller and lighter (better on gas) but is it worth it to pay the extra $300 for the look of the 35s?

Truck background: 04 FX4 Supercrew w/ 2.5 level

Sometimes running 35's may not be the best idea on a leveled truck. Too many chances for rubbing plus the loss of performance and gas mileage. The 275x60x20 in a P rated tire is lightweight and not a big loss in the performance and mileage dept's but the looks are not there. I got tired of running heavy LT 34 and 35" tires so I bit the bullet and went down to the light 33" P rated ones and I'm happy...until I see some larger more aggressive looking tires!

Yea I hear ya. I don't want to regret getting the smaller tire but i also dont want rubbing issues or decrease in gas mileage (commute about 60 miles a day). Then again a 275/60/20 is giving me much more sidewall than my current 305/45/22, might not hate it.

I went thru the same concerns about moving away from stock tires. I selected Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/55R20 on my stock 20's. No rubbing and no spacers, and the ride is much better than the stock Pirelli. I also installed a 2 1/2" level kit.
