An example of why you should check your brake calipers, brake lines and hoses!

Some of you might have heard about a deadly crash involving a Ford Excursion that was modified into a stretch limo. Killed 20 people total. Very sad for something that is an easy and cheap fix.

The inspection stated the truck should've been removed from service because of faulty hydraulics on the brakes. Obviously ignored.

I highly recommend changing your brake lines every 6-8 years, even if they look OK.

I replace my brake hoses every time I put new calipers on. If the rubbers on my calipers are shot, the hoses aren't far behind. They are cheap enough to replace anyways.

Folks rely on their vehicles a lot, going to and from work, picking up their kids, doing work, etc. Just keep in mind, brakes are very critical and may save not only your life, but someone else's life.
