If you put aftermarket wheels on you 4x4, help me out

OK, its time for some wheels on my 98 4x4 (stock height) and I am not too familar with offset/backspacing and all that stuff. I am looking to have the tires stick out from the fenders. Not ghetto cruiser style with 13" daytons. I love that wide off road look on trucks. I will be purchasing 33's for the rim style that I get. What size wheel do I need to get to make them stick out? I do not want to use spacers/adapters. Is it just a wide rim that makes it stick out? Let me know. Any of you guys have pics or links to your galleries with tires that stick out? If so what did you go with? Any help is appreciated.

I have 16x10 inch Eagle 589s on my truck with 285/75 BFGs. The edge of the tire/rim is about even with the outside edge of the fender, which is about perfect in my opinion. When I was shopping for rims, I noticed that most all of the 16x8 and 16x10 inch rims had the same backspacing (4.5 inches, I think) as the factory rims. You just need to decide if you want the rims to stick out 1 inch or 3 inches further than stock. In my opinion the difference between the 16x8s and stock 16x7 is hardly noticable, so if you want a wider stance you probably should go with 16x10s. I had to trim a little bit of the plastic , lower valance on the front bumper because it touched there during turns. This was a 15 minute job with a sharp pocket knife. Sorry but I don't have any pictures. If you want to see a similar setup, go to www.F-150world.com and look for Redwing's truck in the photo gallaries. He has 305/70 Goodyears on 16x10 inch Eagle 589s. Hope this has been some help.

Thank you for the help, I checked out redwings truck and that is exactly the look that I want. I will probably get the AR 16x10 Bajas. Another questions for you all. Does it really make a difference going from 16" to a 15" I noticed that the 15" are almost 100 cheaper for all four. Will rim size affect much?

15s have less backspacing and therefore will stick out a lot farther. Also 15's will not fit on newer F150s with rear disk brakes.
