Question How big will they go??

I was in my favorite Tire store yesterday, and saw 22" wheels and tires for SUV's. What's up with all that? I thought they looked terrible. The tires have only 3" of sidewall, if that, so all you see is this big ol' wheel. That's almost the same dia. as semi truck wheels!

I've started to see more of these large dia. wheels on SUV's. I think that they look ok up to a point (18"), but they have crossed the line now. Getting just a bit to "ricey" for me.

Just my opinion and my thoughts.

Exclamation News Update!!!!

There are already 23" Wheels from a few manufacturers! Also there was a company at the SEMA show last week that debuted their new 26" wheel!

Thumbs up 99flareside:

You've got a nice ride. Notice you have 20". Looks great with your combo. What I think is funny are those "compact" SUV's getting the large diameter wheels and tires. Makes them look like pull toys.

Can't believe they have 23" now too. I can't imagine 26". Those 22's looked like they would not fit in any wheel well.......

Thumbs down It's just wrong

That's rediculous. My big truck has 22.5's. That's just silly.

Don't anyone tell Dodge. They already have ridiculous sized rims as stock (yet another reason among the thousands to not buy a Dodge)

I like my HD 20" but I wish they were 50's and not 45. When I was at a local tire shop about three weeks ago they had some mounted 305/50 R20 nitto tires in the showroom. Those suckers were huge.
