HEY Where should I get my brakes done?
I think I am definitely in need of new brakes on my 1999 F150 (4-wheel disc brakes), as I think the guy that did them before either did a crappy job or they are shot after <10,000 miles. Should I go with a dealer job, or can I find better aftermarket pads and rotors?
By the way the factory pads and rotors lasted about 78,000 miles, before I had new ones put on by another guy.
Thanx

I would personally go to the dealer and have everything replaced with OEM parts.
My original pads lasted 67,000 miles and I still have the original rotors and drums.
I'm sure there are better pads and rotors out there but the way I justified it was by seeing it's a truck and not a race car so the performance is acceptable. The price is fair as well as the wear. Also, the proof of OEM replacement parts goes a long way with me when I'm shopping for a used vehicle so I expect it to pay off when resale time comes.
