I HAVE A 97 F150,4X4.W/265X70X17. I WANT SOMETHING WITH OFF ROAD LOOK.LIKE 285X75X16 OR 305X70X16.GUY AT TIRE STORE SAID,WHAT ABOUT MY CALIBERS? HE DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WOULD FIT,BUT I'VE SEEN PLENTY OF TRUCKS WITH THESE TIRES. CAN ANYONE SUGGEST ANY TIRES OR RIMS. I LIKE THE BAJA LOOK. PLAN ON A 3" BODY LIFT. PLEASE HELP.

I am running the eagle 16x10 with 305/75/16 which is a 33 inch tire and it didn't mess my speedo up at all. I have a 4inch susp. lift and no rubs at all. I also had the 17 inch rims stock

Ask your tire guy what he meant by "calibers". If he meant calipers as long as you get a 16 inch wheel you should be ok. I would be weary of this guy. The Stock wheel diameter of the F150 is 16 inches. There is enough room for them to clear the calipers. I have 285 75R16 MTs on the stock Ford 16 inch rims.
BTW if you need it the bolt circle is 5.3 inches and the inset is .55 inches.

Regards

JRGROOMS,

Here is a picture showing the difference in the stock Goodyear 265-70 17 RTS and Goodyear 305-70 16 ATS.

With a body lift they will fit without any problem. Without, you may rub a little near the bumper.

I have the 285's on mine with stock rims and they don't even come close to rubbing(no lift). But it WILL throw your speedo off. I had 265,s and with the 285's at 30mph the speedo shows 32, at 40 it shows 44 and at 70 it shows 78. I was clocked by a police radar(brother in law).
