Going from 16" to 17"

you'll have no problem with 17's and my truck was lowered 3/4 " I got rid of the 16s the first week i had the truck. I still have the 17" rims with new rubber on them for sale since I upgraded to custom boyd wheels. The old 17" setup = 275/60/17 Continentals are on stock 17" ford rims. here's an old photo
As far as engine light going on because of tires... I'm wondering what that guy was smoking?

My truck came stock with 16inch rims (4x2). I bought 17inch rims and tires off a 1999 Expy 4x4 and installed them directly. I have had them on for about three years and have never had a problem. I only have rear wheel ABS but no problems.
Now I am running NITTO NT404's but they are about the same diameter (just a little wider). The only problem I have had is when I installed the larger front sway bar. They rubbed a little and I had to use a wheel spacer.
