The tires look awesome. I plan on getting a set in the next couple of weeks. Just wondering if you can post some picks of a straight on shot of one of the tires as well as a shot straight on from the back.

Hey spytech,
Those tires really look sweet on your truck! Do you have any problems with the tires rubbing anywhere on your truck? Also, how noisy are the new tires on the highway? I am curious because I am considering purchasing some 305/70/17 MTR’s soon. Thanks

Hey spytech,

like everyone here has said, your truck looks awesome!! I too have a 2002 FX4. Except I have the extended cab. But we have the same color.

I think we are all kind of wondering more about your 305's. Like the noise on the highway especially, and any other problems like gas mileage, loss of power, rubbing etc.

Oh yeah, I love the pictures. Can you get any from a front end and back end view?

Nice choice buddy.

Hey thanks for the extra pics spytech. Your truck really looks awesome.

So how about an update? How those new meats doing? Any problems? I am still debating about getting them, or the BFG T/A KO.

Thanks again for the pics.

Just installed my GY 305/70/17 mtr's and I can't believe how quiet they actually are! I would recommend these to all! My camera broke so it will be a few more days before I can post my pics!

Thanks for the update spytech. Sounds like things are going great.

Hey buffalotr8, I see you got the same meats. Be looking forward to seeing them on your rig. So far you and spytech said they are quiet. I have been hearing that about this tire. It seems hard to believe for a mud tire.

Loof forward to seeing the pics.

Smile 33 12.50 17's

Mounted Pro Comp All-Terrains 33 x 12.50 17's today. not much
larger than the stock 265's. wider more aggressive stance and tread. removed lower valance trim piece and trimmed about a two inch triangle off the inner corner of lower valance. I feel this will take care of any possibility of rub while off roading. I am going to leave the lower trim strip off because it provides better access to front tow loops and gives the appearance of better front end clearance. It does not really affect the rigidity of the valance.

The 33 is really more like 32. The stock 265 was over 31 inches so there is little difference on my truck. Where the noticable difference lies is in the width. I wonder if a 35 is more like 33 or 34. I would not be surprised if you could put those on w/o lift as well.

The Pro Comp is quiet on the street and is capable off road. They are a great choice for a good all terrain tire. Unfortunately they are expensive. The set installed was $700.00. As many Ford ORP 17 inch wheels as there are out there I can not believe we still only have 3 or 4 decent tire choices for 17 inch wheels.

Bottom line -- install the 33's or 305's on the stock wheels. They look good and fit fine.
