Strange braking on 97 4x4

When i'm coming to a stop at a red light when I apply a good amount of braking power to the wheels it seems like it pulls to the left side a little bit, what could be causing this. I'm not much of a mechanical guy yet...only 19 but any help would be appreciated. Its a 97 ford, reg cab 4.6L std, 4x4

My 97 was doing the same thing, but pulling to the right. A couple of months later the pad failed on me. After a new set of rotors and a new set of pads, I have even braking every time I stop now.

I can't say this is the same problem you have, but the symtoms are the same. This is just my experiance.

Well I don't think thats the problem with mine. I've had the calipers off on both sides, not to long ago, and the pads had what I thought was lots of pad left. And they were worn evenly . I asked this question somewhere else and they said to bleed my brake lines. I'm not sure if that is the thing to do or not. I've got just under 50,000 km on the truck. Thanks for the reply.

If the pads are not worn even, meaning all four pads do not have about the same thickness then that means 1 of 4 things.
1. Trapped air in brake lines- bleed each front wheel, may have to do several times
2. Sticking caliper slides- regrease all slide points and back of pads
3. Caliper is sticking- replace caliper Now which one may be hard to say. Left may be sticking closed or right is sticking open
4. Rubber brake hose collapsing- This may also be hard to tell as they usually collapse fron the inside with no external signs.

Thanks bmw for pointing out my errors, it was much to late last for my brain to be working

Question

Iff (if and only if) all the pads are wearing evenly, then air and sticking is out the door. I would think that iff the pads are wearing evenly, then the braking is even. Maybe a look at suspension or steering components is needed.

What kind of suspension components could contribute to this?
