exactly how much diffrence is there between a 265/75r16 ans a 285/75r16 any help would be great as im looking to buy tires and im trying to find out if it would be worth the money to go up to a 285

 

Just under an inch in width, a little over an inch taller. Will change slightly depending on the tire.

265mm/25.4= 10.43" wide 10.43 x .75 = 7.8 ht per sidewall
7.8x2=15.6" 15.6+16" rim 31.6" unloaded height.


285mm/25.4= 11.22" wide 11.22 x .75 = 8.42,
8.42x2 = 16.8 16.8+16 = 32.84

The 265/75R16 will fit on the stock 16x7" wheel

the 285/75R16 would need a 16x8" wheel, do you plan to buy new wheels/rims too?

 

I put 285-75-16's on my stock 16x7 wheel's with no problem. They were done by america's tire company.

 

i have 265/75's on the stock rims now and i was just seein if it was gonna make big enough diffrence to spend the money to go up to a 285/75. how much of a diffrence is there in looks is it really noticeable diffrence when they are on the truck?

 

I too have put on some sweet Goodyear ATS 275/75/16's
they measure 33.1"

you can enter in the different sizes and find out what the differences are.

 

they will definitely fill out the wheel wells more than the 265's.

The size difference will be noticeable.

 

if anyone has pics of the diffrence it would be great to see them just so i have some idea thanks
