Hawk HPS Pads
Guys/Gals,
After much research on the board I decide to go with the Hawk HPS Street Pads for my Truck. I had to have a new set of fronts put on today at 76K. First set of stock replacements went on about 35k or so.
All I have to say is that is the best $54 I have spent in my life!!! By and far the best bang for you buck upgrade I've done on my truck. These things make my Truck stop like you wouldn't believe. No pulling, no fade, no grabbing, no nosedives. Just firm quick stops. I haven't had a vehicle brake this well since my BMW M3 from my college days back in the mid eighties. I just wish this thing handled as well then I really would have it all!!
If anyone is thinking of doing a brake upgrade or needs new pads I would efinately give the Hawks a try!! I had Performance Frictions on my 93 GT Convertable and I'd have to give the edge to the Hawks, although I haven't tried the Performance Frictions on the same vehicle. to be fair.
I think you can check out the specs at hawkperfomance.com I bought mine from raceshopper.com for about $54. They had great service and advice. They carry a full line of both Hawk and Performance Friction so I guess you can't go wrong on your choice of pads. They also have the powerslots wich are on my wishlist!!! Anyone have any impressions on them?
Thanks to all those who recommended the Hawks!!
